Taking a stand against knife crime together. |
Monday 18th May marks the start of knife crime awareness week, hosted by the Ben Kinsella Trust - https://benkinsella.org.uk/knife-crime-awareness-week/. This is a week for all of us - families, businesses, and local authorities - to take a stand and show that knife crime is preventable. Parents, find helpful resources at https://benkinsella.org.uk/knife-crime-training-for-parents-and-carers/. While the police will be increasing activity to investigate and deter crime in Whitechapel, you can play a vital part in keeping our streets safe. If you have a knife you shouldn’t have, or know of one that needs to be removed, please use one of the many amnesty bins located across London. It’s a safe, anonymous way to make a difference. Find your nearest bin - https://www.word4weapons.co.uk/knife-bin-locations/ We will continue working together to tackle knife crime. If you have any information or concerns, please report via 101 or online. In an emergency, always call 999.
Kind regards, Whitechapel Safer Neighbourhood Team
